Timothy E. Phillips | President & CEO
Tim is the president and CEO of First Federal Lakewood, the largest independent depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio. Tim holds responsibility for the sales and operations, as well as enhancing the bank’s commitment to the customers and communities it serves.
 
Tim is a seasoned financial services industry veteran who offers a unique combination of banking expertise and commitment to the mutual form of banking. As a Northeast Ohio native, he is dedicated to helping our communities and businesses thrive.

Phillips holds a master’s degree from University of Akron and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He has served as a board member for many civic and community organizations, including the American Red Cross, Medina Creative Housing and Highland School Foundation. He is a past chair for the Medina Hospital Foundation and is currently a director for the Medina Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospital.

Richard “Rig” Goss is Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer with more than 30 years of experience in banking. Prior to pursuing a financial services career, he worked for a construction company in Florida where he earned, and still maintains, a State of Florida General Contractor’s License. His construction background helps him relate to commercial customers and address their unique needs. Rig is active in the community as a member of the Greater Cleveland Mortgage Bankers Association, the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks, the Northeast Ohio Apartment Association, the Chagrin Valley Jaycees and the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. Before joining First Federal Lakewood, he was a Vice President of commercial real estate lending at several other Cleveland-area banks, including LaSalle Bank, Huntington Bank, Chase Bank and Metropolitan Savings Bank. Rig received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College in Connecticut and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Kurt Kappa is the Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer at First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio with assets of $2.3billion. In this role, Kurt oversees all commercial, consumer lending, treasury management and investment services lines of business.

Kurt prides himself on building relationships with and making introductions among mid-market business owners in Northeast Ohio. As a member of the bank’s executive team, he provides clients with direct access to the decision makers.
 
He previously was a Senior Vice President, Market Leader at Westfield Bank, responsible for leading all commercial sales efforts within the Medina, Cuyahoga and Lorain County regions. He began his financial services career as a Financial Advisor at UBS.
 
Kurt received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in entrepreneurship from Baldwin Wallace University. He is actively involved in a variety of civic and community leadership roles, including serving on the Business Development Council for Team NEO and serves as a Board of Director for the Medina County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) and Group Service, Inc. (GSI), an affiliation of the Greater Cleveland Partnership | COSE.

Michael J. Lamping | Columbus Market President
Mike is the Columbus Market President at First Federal Lakewood (“FFL”), the largest independent depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio. In this role, Mike manages a team of business bankers who focus on building commercial lending relationships, deposit generation, optimizing our facilities and market presence. Mike joined FFL in the summer of 2018 and has been instrumental in building our Central Ohio business banking group and, consolidating the three residential lending offices into the Bank’s new full-service office in Dublin. He brings with him extensive experience in financial services and community banking.
 
Before joining FFL, Mike was Central Ohio President for Indiana based Horizon Bank and spent more than 20 years as a Director and CEO of four community banks. He started his professional career in public accounting, where he spent 15 years as a CPA and Partner with Crowe. Mike specialized in financial institutions and provided a wide spectrum of audit, tax and consulting services to commercial bank clients.
 
He received a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. Mike has extensive experience with all aspects of commercial banking.

Linda Perconti joined First Federal Lakewood in 2019, bringing with her a broad range of retail banking operations and sales experience gained over more than 20 years in the financial services industry. In her role as SVP, Director of Bank Operations, Linda ensures the deposit services team successfully executes operational procedures and effectively supports branch personnel  while also ensuring the branch personnel have the ability to provide our customers the best possible experience in their banking interactions with our branches. Previously, she was Vice President, Retail Operations at First National Bank of Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Linda held several management positions, including Vice President, Bank Administration and Support Services for Parkview Federal Savings Bank; Director, Delivery Channel Solutions for Diebold, Incorporated (now Diebold Nixdorf); and, Senior Vice President, Delivery Planning and ATM Performance for National City Bank (now PNC). She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University. Linda also attended the Stonier School of Banking.

Kurt Raicevich is the Senior Vice President, Chief Retail Officer at First Federal Lakewood. In this role, Kurt ensures First Federal Lakewood provides financial products and services that mutually benefit consumer and small business customers and the communities where they live and do business. He is also responsible for ensuring the bank delivers exceptional customer service and an outstanding customer experience—whether in a branch, online or via mobile banking—in all Northeast Ohio markets.
 
Kurt has been with First Federal Lakewood for more than five years.  Prior to that, he held several executive positions at Fifth Third Bank, including Head of Retail Banking in Northeast Ohio and Small Business Banking Executive, Northeast Ohio. 
 
Kurt received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kent State University with a minor in finance. He is a board member and former treasurer for the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce and is a board member for North Coast Health.  He is a graduate of Leadership Lorain County and has served as a board member and the treasurer for Avon Little League.

Teresa Stone | SVP & Director of Operations Residential Lending
Teresa Stone joined First Federal Lakewood in 2015 as Vice President, Operations Manager before being promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Mortgage Operations in 2018. Teresa began her career in the mortgage industry in 1982, working in all areas of operations before becoming a Mortgage Originator in 1986. In 1991, she became a part owner in Unlimited Mortgage Services, serving as Vice President of Operations. After the company was sold in 1995, she remained in management roles, including Executive Vice President at Republic Bancorp and Senior Vice President at CFBank. Teresa attended Franklin University.

Chalana Williams | SVP, Chief Community Development Officer
Chalana Williams is Senior Vice President, Chief Community Development Officer. She joined First Federal Lakewood in 2012 in a community development role. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Chalana supports business unit leaders through community outreach and relationship building. In addition, she provides strategic guidance in the deployment of capital, expanding the scope of community development and raising visibility in the Northeast Ohio and Columbus markets. As part of the senior management team, she works to ensure that First Federal Lakewood is lending, investing and servicing the communities in which it conducts business. In doing so, she works closely with community development corporations, city officials and community stakeholders. Chalana provides oversight over the  financial literacy seminars conducted in communities to empower others with knowledge of basic money management skills.
 
Chalana has held many positions in her lengthy career in banking including mortgage loan origination and business development. In 2016, Chalana was honored in the 11th edition of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, a magazine that focuses on African-American professionals for their accomplishments as leaders in their careers.
 
Chalana serves as a board director with Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization; she serves on the Warrensville Heights Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee. In 2017, she received a proclamation from Ohio Governor John Kasich for “Years Of Service Award” for her volunteer work with the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she serves on Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital’s Community Wellness Task Force committee.

Previously, Chalana was a Loan Originator and Business Development Officer at Third Federal Savings and a Retail Banker at Ameritrust Bank. In 2016, Chalana was honored in the 11th edition of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, a magazine that focuses on African-American professionals for their accomplishments as leaders in their careers. Chalana serves on the Warrensville Heights Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Executive Committee.
