Chalana Williams | SVP, Chief Community Development Officer
Chalana Williams is Senior Vice President, Chief Community Development Officer. She joined First Federal Lakewood in 2012 in a community development role. With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Chalana supports business unit leaders through community outreach and relationship building. In addition, she provides strategic guidance in the deployment of capital, expanding the scope of community development and raising visibility in the Northeast Ohio and Columbus markets. As part of the senior management team, she works to ensure that First Federal Lakewood is lending, investing and servicing the communities in which it conducts business. In doing so, she works closely with community development corporations, city officials and community stakeholders. Chalana provides oversight over the financial literacy seminars conducted in communities to empower others with knowledge of basic money management skills.
Chalana has held many positions in her lengthy career in banking including mortgage loan origination and business development. In 2016, Chalana was honored in the 11th edition of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, a magazine that focuses on African-American professionals for their accomplishments as leaders in their careers.
Chalana serves as a board director with Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization; she serves on the Warrensville Heights Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee. In 2017, she received a proclamation from Ohio Governor John Kasich for “Years Of Service Award” for her volunteer work with the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she serves on Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital’s Community Wellness Task Force committee.
Previously, Chalana was a Loan Originator and Business Development Officer at Third Federal Savings and a Retail Banker at Ameritrust Bank.
